We are so excited to have our new sensory path complete! What started out as a big dissappointment–winter storms took out a lot of our playground landscape back in February–turned out to be a wonderful blessing. The removed plants were replaced with sections of sand, gravel, smooth rocks, rough rocks, wood, and stepping stones. Sensory play is an important part of the day here at MSA! Using senses of touch, taste, hearing, sight, smell, motion, and balance through play is one of the most natural ways that children learn about the world around them. Our sensory garden now complete with a tactile sensory path encourages hours of exploration, creativity, and problem solving leading to a greater sense of wonder and curiosity about the beautiful world God created.
