Night at the Museum

Learning came alive at our annual Student Showcase! This year’s theme was Night at the Museum and students worked hard to demonstrate all they had learned by bringing science, history, and art exhibits to life!  Students in each grade level helped to create animated exhibits that showed both their knowledge of the topic they researched and their creativity.  Kindergarten and beccame junior botinist and explored the parts of plants and what plants need to grow, second grade researched insects and published their findings in a book, third grade studied animal adaptations and created 3D costumes that highlighted one of their favorite adaptations, fourth grade dressed as historical characters and shared about their character’s life and contribution to Texas history, and sixth graders researched individual countries and created a multi-cultural fair.  In addition, every student had a piece of art work displayed in the art gallery and had an opportunity to shop at the “museum gift shop” (a.k.a the bookfair).  We even had a visit from Rexy the dinosaur!
