Primary Grades

Kindergarten – 4th Grade

Because every child is ready to grow, explore, and become a confident learner.

Your child is on a journey to discover their unique gifts and talents, each given to them by God for a special purpose in His kingdom. Our role as educators and parents is to support them in uncovering these gifts and guiding them along the path God has planned.

Our primary program is designed with your child in mind, using hands-on experiences and personalized learning pathways, all grounded in best practices and research-based strategies. Through engaging activities and a focus on core areas, your child will grow academically, spiritually, and personally, building a strong foundation for the future.

Students grow in their relationship with God, deepening their spiritual journey and developing a strong Biblical foundation. They learn to understand and apply God's truth in their daily lives, allowing their faith to guide their actions and confidently share it with others.

Students develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, using a Biblical lens to analyze literature, explore the natural world, understand history, and solve math problems. Through hands-on learning and inquiry-based approaches, they build a deeper understanding of God's creation and sovereignty, preparing them to engage with the world thoughtfully and purposefully.

Our curriculum resources, including Guided Math, Rooted in Reading, Social Studies and Science Weekly, support this growth by providing structured, engaging, and research-based tools to enhance learning and ensure academic success.

Students grow in Biblical character by embracing traits such as kindness, honesty, patience, and humility, guided by the teachings of scripture. Through the 252 Curriculum by the reThink Group, they learn how to apply these virtues in everyday situations, building strong moral foundations that shape their actions and relationships with others.

Growing Stronger Together

We kick off every day at Morning Star Academy with an energizing start—God’s word, heartfelt prayers, uplifting praise, and the pledges!

Our dedicated staff meet each child where they are, using engaging methods like the Multi-Sensory Teaching Approach and play-based learning to bring lessons to life for every type of learner. Plus, we work closely with the Fannin County Special Education Coop to ensure all students get the support they need to thrive!

Older students team up with younger friends and jump into community service projects, all while making a real difference and spreading kindness wherever they go!

From taking the stage in drama and musical performances to showcasing artwork, whipping up culinary creations for the county fair, and getting in the game with competitive PE challenges, extracurriculars give students the perfect chance to step out of their comfort zone, boost their confidence, and have a blast while showing off their talents!

Whether it’s visiting the Myerson Symphony Hall, catching a play at the Dallas Children’s Theater, exploring the depths at the Dallas World Aquarium, or exploring the Alamo, our immersive learning experiences take students on unforgettable adventures.

At Morning Star, I have felt my child is valued–that every child is valued. The staff have placed the education and character development of their students at the top of their priorities. The staff and administration are professional and kind. It is clear they are not just Christian in word, but in deed. I feel my child is safe from both inside and outside dangers other children face.
