What does a typical school day at home look like?
School days at home offer flexibility and can happen anytime and anyplace! Your child’s teacher will provide materials, assignments, and suggestions for enhancing the learning while at home. You can expect to have 3-4 hours of at home school work each day.
What is the role of the teacher in the MSA Hybrid Program?
MSA teachers assess, direct, and set the pace of learning for all students in the hybrid program. This means they provide everything you need to teach your child at home based on their unique needs as a learner.
How much support will my child need during at home school days?
The age and terperment of your child will determine the level of parental support needed to complete their daily tasks. Generally speaking, the MSA Hybrid program is for parents who want to be hands-on and more involved in their child’s day to day learning.
What curriculum does the MSA Hybrid Program use?
Students in the MSA Hybrid program are learning right alongside other MSA students and therefore use the same curriculum resources as all MSA students.
How much access to technology is required at home?
The MSA Hybrid program uses a Blended Learning approach. This means your child will require daily access to the internet and a device (tablet, laptop, or desktop) to complete and submit assignments. While technology is an important tool for learners in today’s world, we strongly believe technology should not replace traditional teaching methods. Suggestions and materials for hands-on activities will be sent home to complement digital resources each week.
